On a reporting gig for Press Pass LA (I’m their Chicago chick), I attended the Music Box Theatre debut of Unexpected, a film written by Chicago-native Kris Swanberg. The flick pulled some heart-strings without any feelings of nautiousness.
Done in perfect Chicago-style, the story is real, honest and loveable.
The flick covers the friendship of two Chicago women, high-school student (Gail Bean #gorg) and teacher (Cobie Smulders #realness), who unexpectedly become pregnant at the same time. Anders Holm plays one hell of an adorable daddy role too. (#yummy)
Give me your review. On my Press Pass LA review. Love you.
