Fuggin’ Fabulous

I wrote this post that features Gracie Hagen‘s artwork and a bit of nudity months ago. My heart is now ready to set it free. You remember Gracie (far left) from a couple of posts ago, right? She’s a Chicago artist, one of my very best friends and a friggin’ blast.

So, the difference between being ready to post nudity then and now? —

I no longer worry, “What if it’s too risqué? What will people think of me? Is this okay?”

Firstly, those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind. Secondly, the body is the most mystical, incredible thing in all existence. Mystical, incredible things need not be hidden. That’s like hiding a unicorn. WHY WOULD ANYONE HIDE A UNICORN?

The story……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..

I was recently texting with gal pal Gracie Hagen about my latest cosmetic finding, that Becca highlighter is the shit.

When I shot her a selfie to show my look, I obvz sent her the best of the best. (<<<)IMG_1202IMG_1224

She then mentioned the upcoming taco date at our fave Pilsen spot La Vaca, to which I responded with another pic: an expression of my uncontainable excitement. (>>>)

Then, a lightbulb came on:

OMG! In 2015, Gracie’s viral photo series “Illusions of the Body” showcased this very thing: the power of positioning.

Here’s a snippet:

Same person, same place. Different position. Way different vibe.

I love how this series embraces the truth. There’s fab in the flab. See more from the series, here.

Join me in embracing the body’s hot, not, bulging, rippling and curvy perfection, won’t you?
